As Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James tried to leave the floor after Game 2, a fight interrupted his way off.

When it comes to hotly contested battles in sports, sometimes fans lose their cool in the worst possible way and get into fights. It’s hard to label them as fans at the point, as neanderthals is more like it. Unfortunately for Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, he had to take a detour on Sunday night.

After James and the Cavaliers were blown out by the Golden State Warriors, he and J.R. Smith tried to get to the locker room. Instead, a fight broke out in front of them and they had to get around to get to the back.

In the video, a man shoves another individual while security tries to grab the larger individual. Smith did a good job of protecting his leader and both players were fortunately able to get off the floor without incident.

It was a weird sight to see on the camera. Fights in the stands are common to sports, but rarely does one get caught on national television while one of the greatest ever is trying to leave the floor.

Nonetheless, Game 2 was an ugly night all around for the Cavaliers. They kept up for the first half of the game and things appeared to be different, but it fell apart in the second half. Stephen Curry had a triple-double performance and the Cavaliers must now win four of the next five to win an NBA Championship.
