Golden State Warriors small forward Kevin Durant stuffs Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love and then hits a crazy fadeaway on the other end.

Golden State Warriors small forward Kevin Durant has absolutely found himself in the early part of the 2017 NBA Finals. In Game 1 in Oakland on Thursday night, Durant was dunking all over the Cleveland Cavaliers in a blowout victory. On Sunday in Game 2, he wasn’t dunking as much, but was still really effective.

Durant would stuff Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love early in the fourth quarter, getting everybody at Oracle Arena up and out of their seats with excitement. He would gather himself and then proceed to take it up the floor.

Durant would then hit a ridiculous, highly contested fadeaway bank shot to extend the Warriors’ lead on the Cavaliers, forcing a Cleveland timeout. At over seven feet tall, there is just no way to defend Durant on a jump shot when he is feeling it. This shot was incredible.

Even though Cavaliers small forward LeBron James had a triple-double very early into the third quarter, he didn’t have enough help to steal a game, and a taco, on the road in Oakland. Outside of point guard Kyrie Irving and Love, will any Cavalier not in their big three step up to avoid an early finals exit?

As for the Warriors, this sequence is why Golden State decided to sign Durant as an unrestricted free agent this summer. He is able to feed off the Warriors’ other three All-Star’s energy. When point guard Stephen Curry, shooting guard Klay Thompson and power forward Draymond Green are playing well, it is just near impossible to defend this juggernaut Warriors team.

Cleveland will be looking for answers before Game 3 on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena. Durant has been the 2017 NBA Finals MVP through the first two games without debate. He’s found himself in the City by The Bay.
