Buffalo Bills’ running back LeSean McCoy bet a large amount of money on the Golden State Warriors to win the NBA Finals over the Cavaliers.

If you can’t win on the field consistently, why not try to win in Las Vegas, am I right? Buffalo Bills’ running back LeSean McCoy had a fantastic season, rushing for 1,267 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also caught 50 passes for 356 yards. So why not cash in on that success by doing a little gambling in Las Vegas?

That’s exactly what McCoy decided to do, betting $200,000 on the Golden State Warriors to win the NBA Finals. That might sound like a crazy amount of money to the casual fan, but to LeSean McCoy that’s what the kids call “chump change.”

This next season, McCoy is set to make $8.95 million and so far in his career he’s earned a total of $44.7 million. So betting $200,000 on the Warriors isn’t that large of a gamble for the Bills’ star. So how much would he win if the Warriors end up beating the Cavaliers? Just $62,500, for a total pay-out of $262,500.

McCoy could probably end up spending all of that money in Las Vegas, assuming the Warriors end up winning the series — which looks pretty likely. Per David Purdum, it’s the largest sum of cash that’s been bet at Planet Hollywood. I would’ve thought it was Floyd Mayweather, but LeSean McCoy isn’t much of a surprise either.

A lot of people across the country will be watching the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers very closely in the NBA Finals. The NBA Playoffs haven’t been great so far and the Finals are the only thing that can save it. But with this bet placed, we know someone who will be watching it very closely — LeSean McCoy. Looks like he’ll be rooting for the Warriors.
