On Sunday’s episode of Silicon Valley, Richard continues to face trouble with the patent and we’ve got the details you need to watch Silicon Valley online.

While there’s a specific purpose for things like these, each week, I sit down and treat this like a column where I can reflect on Silicon Valley without the hassle of a full recap … especially since Silicon Valley is so dialogue-heavy without even moving the plot forward.

So last week, I mentioned that T.J. Miller was leaving the show. It comes at what feels like a natural stopping point for his character Erlich Bachman. Further, it’s truly unclear about which came first: Miller’s decision or Erlich’s boring storylines. Which inspired the other?

Either way, I’m excited to see Miller move onto other things. As someone who’s loved his abrasive sense of humor since She’s Out of My League (bully for you if you say Cloverfield because I hated that movie and I digress), I feel like he’s really mastered sensitivity when it comes to comedy. For example, The Hollywood Reporter published an article and there’s one excerpt I really love:

"When King suggested that Miller perhaps grew too big for the show, the comedian disagreed. “No, I’m so happy that I was on the show,” he said, later adding that he’s “really, really grateful” to have gotten a chance with Mike Judge. “Those guys I do think are the best in the game. I mean … there is no one funnier working in television.”"

It’s like they’re trying to say there’s blood in the water or something, but Miller remains so humbled. I really love how he painted the situation and how he praised the show.

For an even more in-depth interview on Miller’s departure, Entertainment Weekly sat down with the comedian and even graciously embedded the best clip of all time into the article.

Now let’s check out the synopsis for the new episode, “The Patent Troll”:

"Richard decides to stand up to a patent troll, but his defiance comes back to haunt him; Gilfoyle goes to extremes to battle Jian-Yang’s new smart fridge; Jared embraces multiple identities in an effort to reduce costs; Erlich mixes with a group of alpha males."
