WWE aired a video on Sunday night for a new event coming in July, Great Balls of Fire.

If you watched WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view on Sunday night, you saw a video that aired for a new event. July’s Great Balls of Fire has a theme attached to it, and you can see the video below.

The event, which will take place on July 9 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, uses the infamous song from Jerry Lee Lewis to go along with the title. The setting for the promo is that of a 1950s diner scenario. Names of various superstars are embedded into items throughout the promo, such as Roman Reigns name used as a logo on the side of a classic car, and Samoa Joe’s Diner.

Already announced for the event will be Brock Lesnar in his first defense of the WWE Universal Championship. He will defend the gold against the winner of Sunday’s Fatal Five-Way main event match, Samoa Joe.

Obviously, more matches will be added over the course of the next five weeks. But knowing that Lesnar will be involved in the main event will give WWE plenty of time to set the stage for that match.

The concept for the promo and the event itself may seem a bit cheesy at best, but this is WWE. They’ve done a lot more with a lot less through the years. It will be very interesting to see how they put this together.
