The fourth round of the men’s singles tournament in 2017 French Open is in the books. Let’s take a look to see who will play in the quarterfinals.

While Day 8 of the men’s singles tournament of the 2017 French Open at Stade Roland Garros took forever to finish thanks to a late draw by last year’s winner, Novak Djokovic, Day 9 went by very quickly with all the higher seeds advancing.

Moving on to the quarterfinals were No. 1 Andy Murray, No. 3 Stan Wawrinka, No. 7 Marin Cilic and No. 8 Kei Nishikori, as expected. Outside of No. 5 Milos Raonic falling on Sunday, it has been mostly chalk in the men’s singles tournament.

Murray had one of his better matches of the tournament besting Karen Khachanov, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. He will face Nishikori in the French Open quarterfinals on Wednesday. Nishikori needed four sets to top Fernando Verdasco, 0-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-0. He now faces top-seeded Murray in the next round.

Wawrinka managed to knock off No. 15 Gael Monfils in three sets, but it wasn’t easy for the No. 3 seed in the men’s singles tournament. Wawrinka beat Monfils 7-5, 7(9)-6(7), 6-2 to reach the quarterfinals. There he will meet Cilic, who barely played against Kevin Anderson on Monday. Cilic advanced over Anderson, 6-3, 6-0.

Here are the men’s singles tournament results from Monday, June 5 at Stade Roland Garros.

Of this group, Murray is the most recognizable name, but has not played the best of the four players that advance to the quarterfinals on Wednesday. Wawrinka may have had his ups and downs on Monday, but he’s been the best of the quartet advancing. Let’s not overlook the solid tournament thus far from both Cilic and Nishikori. Either of them could upset their higher-seeded opponent on Wednesday to reach the French Open semifinals.
