Jeremy Maclin will be catching passes on a new team in the 2017 NFL season, as he was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.

For the past two NFL seasons, Jeremy Maclin went into the year as the No. 1 wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs. This offseason, the team decided to part ways with the speedster, saving themselves $10 million in cap space. Maclin had an incredible first season with the team in 2015, racking up over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns, but his production was cut in half last season. There should be plenty of teams looking for help at the position this season, so he should not be unemployed long.

One place he could land is the Buffalo Bills, where former teammate LeSean McCoy is making a run at his services. McCoy and Maclin played together from 2009-14 with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he made a name for himself as one of the better playmakers in the league. The Bills have plenty of question marks at the position, as Sammy Watkins has battled injuries, and Robert Woods left this offseason via free agency.

Dennis Pitta was the 2016 AFC Comeback Player of the Year last season, but his career is now in jeopardy. Pitta injured his hip for the third time in his career, as he dislocated the bone in a non-contact injury during OTAs. He signed a five-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens back in 2014, and was one of the key cogs in an offensive machine that led the Ravens to their Super Bowl XLVII win.

Another star player whose career may be in jeopardy is Nick Fairley, who is battling a heart issue. The issue was detected back in 2011 during a pre-draft physical, but he still was picked within the first 15 selections by the Detroit Lions. Fairley was a top defensive lineman for the New Orleans Saints last season, racking up 6.5 sacks for a team that should challenge for an NFC South title in 2017.

Finally, the Seattle Seahawks will not be making a play to bring in Colin Kaepernick. The former starter for the San Francisco 49ers is still without a home for the 2017 NFL season, and it looks like it make take an injury before a team signs him via free agency. Kaepernick met with the Seahawks last week, but despite head coach Pete Carroll calling him “a starter in this league,” he remains without a deal.
