After their trash talk in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban didn’t want to let Sidney Crosby criticize his breath again, so he brought a store’s worth of Listerine with him before Game 4.

The Nashville Predators picked up a huge 5-1 victory in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final this past Saturday night, making sure that P.K. Subban lived up to his promise that he made after the Game 2 loss for the Preds to the Pittsburgh Penguins that put them in an 0-2 hole.

After the beatdown, Subban decided to rile up Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, but was then told he had bad breath. Nobody ever wants to have bad breath, especially when you’re talking smack after a big win on your home ice that really kept your season alive.

So, Subban took to action in the most effective way possible before Game 4. He went out and bought Listerine.

A whole lot of Listerine.

Like, enough that you would think he just picked up an endorsement from them.

If you don’t like P.K. Subban, then I really question what you expect as a hockey fan because he’s wonderful. Not only is it a fantastic troll move from Subban, it could keep the mood lively and relaxed for the Predators, who still aren’t out of the hole they dug themselves just yet.

Despite a massive win on Saturday, they still trail two games to one in the series against Crosby and the Penguins, who are looking to become the first NHL team since the Detroit Red Wings in 1997 and 1998 to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions.

Regardless if the Preds pull even in the series or not, Crosby going to have to come up with some new trash to talk because Subban’s breath is going to be fresher than OutKast during the “So Fresh, So Clean” music video production.
