The Cavaliers’ locker room reportedly smelled of marijuana it after the team’s Game 2 loss in the NBA Finals.

The Cleveland Cavaliers got rocked by the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, losing 132-113 on the road at Oracle Arena in a painful loss. Although it surely hurt, it looks like the team may have something to take away some of the pain.

While nothing is confirmed, and no one is really to blame for any of this, the Cavaliers locker room supposedly had a pungent smell rolling through its doors on Sunday night after the game, with one reporter calling it a “strong reefer aroma”.

Mike Wise, an ESPN reporter, tweeted out the following thread about the smell, and cracked a quick joke about using any means necessary to take away some of the pain from a long postseason surely filled with some bumps and bruises.

Obviously it’s impossible to pinpoint exactly who or where the smell came from, and like Wise said, it could’ve been a player or a member of the media, who both had access to the room after the game.

Either way, it provides a funny little detail to the series for the Cavaliers, who may have been taking advantage to their time in California where the drug is legal before they head back to Defend The Land in Ohio.

If the team did need it, it could probably take away the sting of the bad 19-point loss in Game 2, the 22-point loss in Game 1 of the series, or the 2-0 deficit the team now faces after their trip to California for the week.

No matter what, the Cavaliers will need to pull out all the stops as they head back to Cleveland, desperately trying to survive to defend their title from last year’s NBA Finals.
