Samoa Joe’s first promo on Brock Lesnar was perfect (Video)

Following his big win at Extreme Rules, Samoa Joe got his program with Brock Lesnar started off on the right foot

Some were very shocked on Sunday night when it was none other than Samoa Joe who came away with the main event win at Extreme Rules. The Samoan Submission Machine outlasted Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt in a much-anticipated Fatal 5-Way.

Now Joe’s prize? Well, with the win, he is now the No. 1 contender for the WWE Universal title, meaning he will do battle at WWE Great Balls of Fire with none other than The Beast Incarnate himself, Brock Lesnar.

Pairing these two up has been a dream match for quite a while now, even dating back to Joe’s time in Ring of Honor and TNA. Wrestling fans who love themselves nothing more than a great HOSS FIGHT salivate at the thought of these two tearing each other apart in the ring. With that, though, the build has to be almost as good as the match itself.

Joe was all over getting the build started off on the right foot. The new No. 1 contender appeared on a special edition of RAW Talk, and he cut one hell of a promo on the man who just exorcised the Goldberg demon at WrestleMania.

This was just perfectly done by Samoa Joe, someone who is trying to make the most of his first taste of championship program glory on the main roster. He’s waited a long time for this, and for his first big opportunity to come against someone the caliber of Lesnar, he won’t waste a single second of it.

Again, when these two behemoths get into the ring with each other it should be quite the build, but don’t sleep on the build to the bout at all, because that might be just as good.
