After a visit with the Buffalo Bills, free agent Jeremy Maclin leave without a deal. Up next for the veteran receiver? The Baltimore Ravens.

Let the games…continue! After two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, free agent wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is making rounds in an attempt to find a team for 2017. Maclin was to begin his third year of a five-year, $55 million contract with the Chiefs this season. Instead, he was cut after June 1, saving the team $10 million in salary cap.

The seven-year veteran may still well have plenty in the tank for the right team. Former teammate LeSean McCoy, who played with Maclin on the Philadelphia Eagles, made pushes to recruited the wide receiver to Buffalo. And, there is no doubt the team could use another option outside of Sammy Watkins.

Those attempts seemed to have failed, or at least not been enough to convince Maclin to sign at this point. But, with the team under new management, they may not believe the fit it right. Now, it is on to Baltimore.

The Ravens are in need of new targets in the passing game. All-Pro receiver Steve Smith, Sr. retired, leaving a big hole at the number two receive spot. Add in the release of Dennis Pitta, and two of the teams three top targets are gone. Both were targets over 100 times. The next highest outside of Mike Wallace was Breshad Perriman, with 66 targets.

The acquisition of Maclin would make sense for the Ravens. But can they afford him? Currently, they have approximately $5.62 million in cap space. Maclin will need to come cheap, as the team must fill other voids.

If not, the tour continues.
