Austin Aries has been a steady presence at the top of the Cruiserweight division, but he’s gonna be going away for a bit.

Over the course of the past few months, the highlight feud on 205 Live and within the WWE Cruiserweight division has been Austin Aries challenging Neville for the title. Recently, though, at the Extreme Rules event, it seems as if that feud came to a close when Aries was unsuccessful once again in his title quest, this time in a submission match.

The feud may not be the only thing that came to an end last Sunday. Apparently, Aries being a consistent presence on WWE television is coming to an end for now as well.

Aries appeared on Busted Open Radio, and he not only addressed some of the injuries that he’s dealing with, but also admitted that it’s time to take a little break. He just doesn’t know how long that break will be.

"“I’ve got some stuff going on, but just to be fair you could probably say that for a lot of the locker room. It’s kind of part of what we do, I don’t think anyone is ever 100%. So I got a couple things going on and obviously at this point it might be a good time to take a little break which really could consist of two days to just adjust some of those things, try and get my mind and my body right and then come back and figure out what’s gonna be next and what the direction’s gonna be.”"

Having been in the professional wrestling game for quite a while now, you certainly would imagine that Aries needs to take some time to himself to get his body in order. It’s always wise for WWE to let him take the time to heal up too, seeing as he’s definitely one of the more entertaining performers on the roster as well.
