There is absolutely no way the Cavaliers can rally from a 3-0 deficit so let’s talk about something else

Game 3 of the NBA Finals was spectacular and riveting right until the final moments when the Warriors made it a two possession game and the last hopes for drama this season were extinguished. And with that late collapse the Cavaliers placed themselves on the brink of elimination and put Golden State on the precipice of history. And very possibly something snapped deep within the recesses of Fastbreak Breakfast NBA podcast.

Honestly, we’ve barely been able to stay focused on the playoffs since the beginning of the Conference Finals. Our podcasts have been even more scattered, random and divergent than ever. So in that spirit we recorded after Game 3 and stunningly did not once mention any of the following topics:

  • Tyronn Lue’s coaching down the stretch
  • Kyrie Irving’s woeful final offensive possession
  • Tristan Thompson being missing in action all series

We did, however, manage to cover the following topics:

  • Deron Williams and Chris Paul still haven’t scored a single point in the Finals
  • Would the Cavaliers rather have Klay Thompson instead of Kyrie Irving?
  • How is a possible stretch of Warriors dominance in the league any different from previous great teams?
  • The uncovering of Adam Silver’s secret Twitter account
  • Pitching ideas to Troma Films
  • Which explanation do you believe for why Keith is so unfamiliar with Pauly Shore’s oeuvre?

So as you can see, things veered off the track early and often. Perhaps that is what Cleveland needs right now. Maybe you need it too. Don’t think about the future of the NBA if you don’t want to, just go get a fancy doughnut and have a good time with us.
