After winning two straight games at home, the Nashville Predators travel to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.

After losing the first two games in Pittsburgh, the pressure was on the Nashville Predators. The Predators returned home and beat Penguins comfortably in back to back games. After being pulled in Game 2, Pekka Rinne allowed two goals in two games at home.

Over the first four games, Nashville has controlled the style and pace of play. The Predators have outshot Pittsburgh 123-91. Pittsburgh’s power play has been awful through four games, converting only 1 of 16 chances with the man advantage. If the Penguins can not take advantage of their power play chances they will likely lose the series. Nashville has been the better team at even stregthen.

Nashville captain Mike Fisher has been fantastic in the Stanley Cup Final with four assists in what could be his final season. Fisher and Calle Jarnkrok have both step up for the Predators since losing leading scorer Ryan Johansen to injury in the conference final.

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan has made lineup changes attempting to get Phil Kessel and Evgeni Malkin going. The two players have combined for one goal and two assists through the first four games. Sullivan tried to use a more aggressive fore check in Game 4. However, Pittsburgh was caught too far forward and allowed Viktor Arvidsson to score on a breakaway.

Penguins center Nick Bonino missed both games in Nashville with an injury. After three days off Bonino should be ready to play in Game 5. Bonino was a late scratch in Game 4 after taking pre-game warmups.
