USA face Trinidad and Tobago at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Thursday, June 8. Here’s all the info you need to watch this big World Cup qualifier.

Calling their World Cup qualifier against Trinidad and Tobago a must-win is kind of redundant for a U.S. Men’s National Team that started out the Hexagonal with two bad losses: every game since then has been a must-win.

The Yanks came back from that horrendous start to secure four points in their next two qualifiers back in March. They are currently in fourth place in the CONCACAF final round of qualifying. The top three teams in the region earn an automatic trip to Russia for the 2018 World Cup. The fourth-place team team must win a two-game playoff against the AFC fifth-place team to get in. The USMNT would like to avoid that.

Bruce Arena went with a 4-2-2 formation that utilized a diamond midfield against Venezuela in their tuneup friendly last Saturday. Christian Pulisic was in the No. 10 spot and scored the lone goal in a 1-1 draw. The other American attackers around him weren’t much help, a fact that must change on Thursday against Trinidad and Tobago.

Trinidad and Tobago are currently in last place in the Hex, sitting on three points thanks to their win against Panama back in March. They are an athletic and speedy side. Striker Kenwyne Jones will look to use his size and strength to cause havoc on attacking set pieces, an area the Yanks have struggled with in this round.
