15. Andy Robertson

Hull and Scotland left-back Andy Robertson is one of the most promising young defenders in the country right now. Despite Hull’s relegation, Robertson had a good season and he’s certainly improved since his first stint in the Premier League a few years back.

The Scottish defender’s strong point has always been his ability to go forward and link up with midfielders and attackers with good wing play. Yet last season his defensive game has developed making him a much better all round player. Robertson is still only 23, which means he’s also a great investment for the future

It’s unlikely he’ll stay at Hull after their relegation and a Premier League team could probably secure his services for a very reasonable fee. Liverpool appear to be the club most interested in signing Robertson but he would be very suitable for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. Guardiola likes his defenders to play out from the back and be able to attack — two things Robertson can do well.
