Sometimes, LeBron James doesn’t need a teammate to pull off a crazy alley-oop. He used the backboard against the Golden State Warriors on this powerful jam.

Few people on Planet Earth do whatever they want to all the time quite like Cleveland Cavaliers small forward LeBron James. So what if his team is down 3-0 against the Golden State Warriors in the 2017 NBA Finals facing elimination?

The Cavaliers have been on fire offensively through the first half plus in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. After Golden State forced Cleveland to call an early timeout in the third quarter, the Cavaliers went back to work in keeping their season alive.

Up 94-75 early in the third quarter, James decided that he needed to use the backboard to alley-oops to himself to bring Quicken Loans Arena to its feet. He did just that and all the Cavaliers fans in the world lost their collective minds. It was so sensational.

James definitely practiced that move a few times in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans. That slam is further proof that glorified exhibition games can still help a superstar get even better. James has been solid for most of the NBA Finals. Frankly, he has to be for Cleveland to have had any shot at winning back-to-back titles.

Cleveland would end up scoring over 100 points before even getting halfway through the third quarter in Game 4. Tensions are high in this game, but Cleveland has been in control for most of it. However, no lead is safe against the Warriors and their explosive transition game full of 3-pointers.

James will need to come up huge down the stretch to ensure that the Cavaliers will even get to Game 5 in Oakland. With Golden State on the cusp of going 16-0 in the 2017 NBA Playoffs, the Warriors won’t want to let that unprecedented feat slip through the cracks.
