On Saturday June 10, the 2017 Belmont Stakes will take place. Here’s a full list of the jockeys and mount.

The 2017 Belmont Stakes marks the end of the Triple Crown horse racing season. This year, there will not be a Triple Crown winner. Always Dreaming won the Kentucky Derby, but lost to Cloud Computing at the Preakness Stakes. Neither of the two horses will be participating in the last leg of the Triple Crown season. However, there’s still a very competitive field. And it might be determined by who’s riding what horse.

Here’s a very quick list at the list. It is sorted by post position. Right off the bat, Irish War Cry has Rajiv Maragh riding him. He’s an experienced jockey who knows the horse well, so expect the odds on favorite to do well. Javier Castellano is one of the best jockeys in recent history and he’ll be riding Twisted Tom. So if you’re looking for a long shot, that horse might be a good bet with an expert jockey riding him.

Any horse racing fan will tell you the jockey can help a horse lose or help him win. It’s a lot more important than it’s given credit for. Especially when the race happens to be the longest of the Triple Crown season. At 1.5 miles in length, the Belmont Stakes is the longest of the trio.
