Mexico vs. USA live stream: Watch World Cup Qualifying online
The U.S. face Mexico at the Estadio Azteca on Sunday, June 11. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The U.S. Men’s National Team travel to Estadio Azteca for a vital World Cup Qualifier against Mexico on Sunday. Their last qualifying match against the Mexican national team in November didn’t go so well. The U.S. Men lost 2-1 at home. They were lethargic in their attack and struggled to contain El Tri at the other end.
In their last three qualifying matches, the USMNT have won two and drawn one. They beat a poor Honduras side 6-0 and drew 1-1 with a lackluster performance against Panama. In their last match, on Thursday against Trinidad and Tobago, they won 2-0 with a brace coming from Christian Pulisic.
It was a solid win for the U.S. with good performances from DeAndre Yedlin and Jorge Villafana on the flanks. However, they never succeeded to get Jozy Altidore or Clint Dempsey into the game beyond a pass or two. The fluidity mostly came from Pulisic. Against the Mexican national team, it’s difficult to see the U.S. winning without good performances from the forwards.
This trip to Mexico is the first big test for Bruce Arena since coming back to the national team. Mexico have won four and drawn two of their previous six World Cup qualifiers. They come into their matchup against the USMNT in scintillating form and are extremely confident.
