On live television, an angry Predators fan cursed at NBC studio analyst Mike Milbury.

NHL fans can’t agree on a lot of things. However, every fan of hockey can agree that Mike Milbury should not be paid money to be a studio analyst. He’s every bit as hated by NHL fans as Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith are by NBA fans. Perhaps even more so.

Milbury didn’t endear himself to the Nashville Predators fanbase this postseason. Early in the playoffs, he blasted star defenseman P.K. Subban for celebrating and dancing before the game. Milbury then defended Sidney Crosby after he slammed his head on the ice repeatedly during Game 5, saying the defenseman “had it coming”.

A Predators fan had enough after Game 6, which saw the Penguins repeat as Stanley Cup champions. Like Dee Snyder, he decided he wasn’t going to take it anymore. On national television, the Predators fan unleashed an epic profanity-laden rant against Milbury.

Hockey fans everywhere have found their hero. And this one doesn’t wear a cape. But the fan does stand against the tyranny of Milbury’s reign as NBC’s top studio analyst for the NHL. Many hockey fans would love to see the former New York Islanders general manager off NBC’s payroll.

Unfortunately, Milbury was such an awful GM, nobody would want him. He’s famous for basically ruining the Islanders with horrible trades. Milbury’s worst trades include trading Zdeno Chara and the draft pick used to draft Jason Spezza, trading Roberto Luongo and giving Rick DiPietro a huge extension and hiring (and firing) himself as the Islanders coach.

Predators fans have a lot to be proud of. They have a team with a very bright future and they’ll enter next season as Stanley Cup contenders. Who knows, the Predators could win the Cup next season.
