Bovada has released the initial 2018 Stanley Cup odds for anyone who’s interested in betting. Betting on a three-peat won’t earn you much.

The Penguins just won their second consecutive Stanley Cup Final, defeating the Predators in six games. The defending champions held off a plucky Nashville team and kept their title secure with a 2-0 victory in Tennessee.

The early odds for the 2017-18 NHL season have already been released by Bovada. The Penguins are, unsurprisingly, favored to three-peat. Yahoo! Sports editor Greg Wyshynski tweeted a picture of the complete 2018 Stanley Cup odds.

The Blackhawks and Oilers are the early favorites to capture the Western Conference title with 12-1 odds. Chicago will need to recover from a first-round sweep, though, as it ran into a hot Predators this season.

It comes as no surprise the Oilers will be a popular pick to win it all with young star Connor McDavid entering his prime. The Oilers showed flashes of championship potential in the Western Conference Semifinals. However, their run was cut short in Game 7 against the Ducks. Anaheim opens with 14-1 odds.

The Capitals and Lightning each have 12-1 odds as well. They’ll look to add competition to the Eastern Conference. The Capitals once again failed to dethrone the Penguins. The Lightning were eliminated from playoff contention after a heartbreaking Eastern Conference Finals Game 7 loss the previous year.

The Las Vegas Golden Knights head into their inaugural season clearly at the bottom. The expansion team opens with 125-1 odds to win it all. They haven’t even completed the Expansion Draft yet.

The Avalanche, Devils and Canucks are the next-biggest long shots at 75-1.
