NBA Free Agency 2017: Does a baby hold the clue on Gordon Hayward’s future?
NBA insiders will be battling to break the story when Gordon Hayward signs a new contract. But has this story been broken already by a two-year old?
As we wrap up the NBA season with The Finals coming to an end in the very near future (hopefully), many of the disinterested are already looking to the summer. The summer, not for the warmer weather or memorable family vacations but rather for the start of free agency.
While Golden State and Cleveland have uneventfully monopolized the playoffs for what has seemed like eternity, plans are being made right now by the rest of the 28 teams in the league to improve their teams in order to increase the chances that they may make their own Finals appearances soon.
There may not be a team with more off-season buzz and potential than the Boston Celtics. After being dropped out of the Eastern Conference Finals by the Cavs, the New England fan base immediately looked toward the future. They have the number one overall pick and the potential cap space to land a key free agent.
It is no secret that Danny Ainge and the Celtics are targeting free agent Gordon Hayward. Hayward, who played under current Celtics head coach Brad Stevens back in their Butler days, is coming off arguably his best season yet as a member of the Utah Jazz. Without a doubt all involved will be holding their breaths in anticipation for Hayward’s next move.
But only Gordon Hayward TRULY knows what his next move will be, right? Or does someone else close to Hayward know the answer? Could that someone be a two-year old?
Twitter was going bananas over a recent Instagram post by Hayward’s wife Robyn where she is seen holding their two year old daughter. A beautiful moment of course. However, the interesting part of this photo was the attire of baby Hayward. “Go Green” was splashed in yellow lettering across the back of a green shirt that was being worn by little Ms. Hayward. Below the lettering, a picture of a clover.

What exactly does she know? Is she trying to tell us something? Or does she just enjoy St. Patrick’s day or Spinach and Kale smoothies? Are we digging too deep into this? Or does this beautiful baby actually hold the clue that will hopefully change the landscape of the association?
I guess we will find out soon enough.
