The Golden State Warriors just defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the the NBA Championship. They are heavy favorites to repeat in 2018.

Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston are all free agents for the upcoming 2017-18 NBA season. They were all instrumental in the Warriors’ championship this year. Some of them might not be back — granted it’s most likely Iguodala or Livingston that don’t return. Yet, they’re still huuuuge favorites to win the 2018 NBA Championship.

The odds aren’t shocking at all. The Warriors only lost one game in a two-month stretch and had the highest winning percentage in the postseason since the 2000-01 Los Angeles Lakers. They will likely be the most-favored team in history in all of the major professional sports due to the endless amount of talent and chemistry on this Golden State roster.

According to OddsShark, Golden State is a -150 favorite, meaning you’ll have to place $150 to win $100. The next closest favorite is the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are at +300. That’s followed by the Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets to round out the top-5.

More surprising than the Warriors being the favorites is the fact that the Celtics are third behind Cleveland and Golden State. It’s probably because they’re in the Eastern Conference and their path to a championship might be a little easier than the San Antonio Spurs or the Houston Rockets.

Regardless of who’s No. 2-5, all that matters is that Golden State is a gigantic favorite in the eyes of Las Vegas. The Warriors just wrapped up their second championship in three years and were one win away last year from three-peating.
