Roman Reigns taught a few fans on Twitter that some professional athletes actually look at what people say about them, and went in on the trolls.

Many fans on Twitter reply to tweets about their favorite, or not-so-favorite athletes, hoping to get a response and say they got to interact with one of the biggest names in sports. Sometimes, you have to go to extreme measures to get their attention, and Roman Reigns showed that they’ll fire back if you decide to throw insults.

In a thread on Twitter that started Monday night and continued Tuesday afternoon, Reigns decided to go in on some trolls who said he “can’t wrestle”, including one “wrestler” who used his experience (or lack thereof) in the ring as an excuse to go at the WWE superstar.

Reigns took exception, and called the fan an amateur, and said that the WWE was the best of the best in the professional wrestling business.

Then a fan, who didn’t learn from the already battered and bruised fan’s Twitter beatdown, said that Reigns was only in the position he was because his family got him there. Reigns again took exception, and cited his time spent in the ring and away from his family as the reason he wasn’t “handed” anything.

In one last punch, Reigns went at someone saying that jobbers aren’t in the same position but still have to make the same sacrifices in the ring. Reigns again took exception, saying all the wrestlers get paid, and the big stars, like the Big Dog that Reigns is, have more responsibilities in and out of the ring, and have more work to do because of it.

All the madness comes at the perfect time to build hype for Reigns, as fans await an announcement from him next Monday with his plans for the WWE Network special SummerSlam in August.
