NBA Commissioner Adam Silver believes he should spend more time figuring out how to develop more super teams instead of trying to break up current super teams.

Though superteams are really fun to watch, a lot of basketball fans don’t like them. They feel like it is unfair for one team to have a bunch of star players, while other teams don’t have any. They also feel that the dominance from superteams ruins the league. These fans’ have made their voices heard, especially during these playoffs, but the NBA’s commissioner, Adam Silver, doesn’t feel super teams like the Golden State Warriors are bad for the league.

Speaking to The Washington Post, Silver said that instead of trying to break up teams with a lot of All-Stars, he should spend that time trying to figure out how he can develop more superstars and build up the other teams in the NBA.

Per NBC Sports:

"“Rather than focusing on the top of the league, we should be focusing on the rest of the league,” Silver told The Post before Game 4. “Rather than talking about how to break up or knock down a championship-caliber team, my focus should be on how we do a better job developing more great players in this league….“And yes, an incredible free agent was added to that squad,” Silver said. “All the focus seems to be on, ‘They’re too good’ as opposed to, ‘What is it we should be doing to create more great teams in this league?’ That’s what my response is.“My answer is, let’s create more great teams, rather than completely focus on one incredible team and whether that’s seemingly unfair to the other team. I think it’s the nature of competition…“My answer is, let’s create more great teams.”"

After Kevin Durant joined the Warriors last year, Silver said that he was concerned about how that would affect the league. However, he must have changed his mind after a full season of seeing how the super team affected the NBA.

If Silver is able to figure out a way to turn the majority of the teams in the league into super teams, that would be amazing. Every game will be like an All-Star game, but competitive and with defense.
