The 2017-18 Premier League season begins on Aug. 12, and the fixture list for the campaign has been announced.

Fans always enjoy the day when the fixtures for the forthcoming season are released. They can start to think about which games they can go to, and discover when their team faces their big rivals.

The new Premier League season begins in less than two months time, and we now know who will play who each weekend over the nine months of 2017-18.

None of the top seven from last season play each other on the opening weekend. Arsenal vs. Leicester appears to be the most intriguing fixture.

Champions Chelsea will begin the defense of their title against Burnley at Stamford Bridge, so will expect to put three points on the board.

The three newly promoted sides face tough first matches. Championship winners Newcastle host Spurs, whilst Brighton are at home to Manchester City. Huddersfield probably have the best chance of a first weekend win. The Terriers travel to a Crystal Palace team who have yet to appoint a new manager.

Away from the opening weekend, Liverpool vs. Manchester United is still arguably the Premier League’s showpiece match. The two north-western giants clash at Anfield in October, and at Old Trafford in March.

After two relatively near title misses, Spurs will hope that 2017-18 is third time lucky. Their first game at their temporary home of Wembley is against Chelsea. They then face their fierce rivals Arsenal in November and February.

Pep Guardiola had a disappointing first season at Manchester City by his own remarkably high standards. Their first two home games are against Everton and Liverpool, so they may not make a flying start. Meanwhile, Manchester United don’t face a top six rival until October so will be confident of starting well.
