Draymond Green blames LeBron James for the Super Team era. Does he have a point?

The Warriors hosted their championship parade Thursday but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t some controversy along the way. Earlier this week LeBron James claimed that he has ‘never played for a super team’.

Well, Draymond being Draymond vehemently disagreed and blamed James for starting the super team era.

Herer’s what Draymond Green had to say:

"“Can somebody give (general manager Bob Myers) some f—ing credit? They want to talk about super teams,” Green said. “Superteams this, superteams that, ‘I never played on a superteam.’ You started the superteam, bro!”"

In fairness, the Warriors star does have a point. During the 2009-2010 playoffs, LeBron and the Cavs were ousted in the second round to the eventual Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics. James then jumped ship to join up with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. That wasn’t the only time LeBron jumped ship as once Wade and Bosh started to show signs of aging, LeBron again bounced and went back to Cleveland. Let’s be serious, James didn’t go back to Cleveland just to go home, he went back to play with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.

Warriors general manager Bob Myers does deserve a ton of credit. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green were all drafted outside of the top five picks. A classic example of drafting well without tanking. Green was even drafted in the second round. What is the true definition of a super team? I’m not sure anyone knows. Technically if we are really counting, LeBron James left his team twice, Kevin Durant only did so once.

LeBron James and Draymond Green also traded punches in an Instagram exchange. Whether you support the Cavs or the Warriors, Golden State won round three and celebrated in a big way during the parade. Can the 2017-2018 season start already? This Golden State vs. Cleveland rivalry will only grow as these teams will continue to battle for supremacy.
