Baltimore Orioles 32-32

Last week: 1-6
Last rank: 12

Things have gone from bad to ugly for the Orioles and their starting rotation. After seeming to get things pointed back in the right direction last week, the O’s are dealing with another losing streak and a string of awful starts from their rotation.

Dylan Bundy is the only starter in the rotation who does not cause Orioles fans to curl up in a ball every time he takes the mound. Even he has not been immune to the slump. He is 1-4 in his last five starts with a 4.35 ERA. Bundy has allowed seven home runs in only 31 innings. The Orioles are running out of time to turn this thing around.

Seattle Mariners 33-34

Last week: 3-4
Last rank: 14

The Mariners made some history at the end of their 20-7 bludgeoning in Minnesota. Silver linings!

There’s no easy way to get around the fact that having Christian Bergman in an MLB rotation is a recipe for a 20-run stinker at least once a season. For all the work they have done to get back to .500, the Mariners still have some major holes in their rotation. Left-hander Ariel Miranda continues to be a pleasant surprise. Finally, a trade with the Orioles that the Mariners have won!
