Round 1 tee times, pairings, TV schedule and more for the 2017 US Open

The 2017 US Open is set to take to Erin Hills in Wisconsin starting on Thursday, June 15. As the second major championship on the PGA Tour, all the big names — save for Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, for vastly different reasons — will be ready to roll. However, this week presents an interesting challenge.

Outside of hosting the US Amateur earlier in the decade, Erin Hills is largely unfamiliar to the players of the PGA Tour. While they’ve been practicing and scouting, that only means so much. In most cases, you’re talking about a course that players have seen numerous times in their careers. That won’t be the case for the US Open, however.

With that said, there are a number of players that stand out. However, two in particular seem to really be shining in 2017. Despite both missing the cut at the Memorial Tournament, Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm have both been white-hot this year. For the most part, it hasn’t mattered which tournament or course either. So even with the unknown course, they are two to watch. They obviously aren’t alone, but they’ll certainly turn heads.

FOX has the rights to the 2017 US Open, so you’ll be able to catch the action on their family of networks throughout the tournament. For Round 1, you can watch the action on FS1 starting at 11 a.m. ET until 6 p.m. ET. FOX will then pick up the coverage then, going until 9 p.m. ET.

Obviously there are some huge pairings for the start of the US Open as many of the biggest names are grouped together. However, with the newness of the course to these players, you have to keep eyes everywhere. This feels like a major where truthfully anything could happen, and that should start right away in Round 1.
