Twitter reacts to Baron Corbin winning WWE Money in the Bank ladder match
Baron Corbin took home the Money in the Bank briefcase Sunday night, and fans on Twitter weren’t afraid to share their opinions on his win.
Baron Corbin can now call himself Mr. Money in the Bank after climbing the ladder and grabbing the briefcase on Sunday night, whether fans and those around him in the ring like it or not.
In a solid match, Corbin took out AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura during the two’s goose bump-enducing battle in the ring, and went up rung by rung to take home his new luggage. Corbin had himself a stellar match, which started with him interrupting Nakamura’s entrance and taking him out of most of the contest, and ended with a victory.
Corbin shined throughout the match, with some big spots on his opponents and showcases of his power from start to finish. One of his best highlights was his chokeslam to Styles onto a ladder outside of the ring, and hopefully he can utilize moves like that in his run with the briefcase.
Regardless of how well Corbin performed in the match, any finish with a heel winning, especially in the fashion “The Lone Wolf” did it in, is bound to get mixed reactions from fans in attendance and on social media. While some fans congratulated Corbin and appreciated his hard work to get to his new spot towards the top of SmackDown LIVE, others were unhappy with him winning and aren’t looking forward to the new WWE title picture on the blue brand.

Corbin has plenty of options for his cash-ins, with Jinder Mahal currently holding the WWE title, and in a rivalry with Randy Orton. Meanwhile, John Cena will return to SmackDown as a free agent in a few weeks, and could find himself in the title picture and as a potential victim of Corbin’s cash-in.
