Kevin Owens may have suffered a leg injury during Sunday night’s main event of WWE Money In The Bank in St. Louis.

Well this could go from potentially bad to possibly disastrous real quick. WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens may have suffered some form of a leg injury, following his performance on Sunday at Money In The Bank.

Owens was part of the six-man main event ladder match, and took more than his fair share of the abuse during the course of the match. He waged war with Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles and the eventual winner, Baron Corbin.

He found himself on the receiving end of a slam onto a ladder that twisted it. Later on, Styles delivered a fireman’s carry slam from the ring apron onto another ladder. Nakamura, who was taken out before the match started by Corbin, returned to the ring and cleaned house. Again, Owens was the subject of attack as he caught Nakamura’s signature kick right to the jaw.

If it is a serious knee injury that Owens has suffered, it’s horrible timing for the United States Champion. He’s been on a midieval tear through his opponents over the last couple of years, including his recent disposal of former friend Chris Jericho. And the last thing he needs is to be slowed down by an injury.

He had a procedure done back in March to repair a partially torn meniscus, so it’s a possibility he may have re-injured that knee. Officials had to help Owens to the back following Sunday night’s brutal match. Nothing has been confirmed as of noon on Monday, but we may likely hear something during Tuesday’s airing of SmackDown Live if we don’t actually see Owens.

UPDATE: In an updated report on the situation, thankfully Dave Meltzer reported that KO is fine, and will be on SmackDown Live this coming Tuesday night.
