After winning the Finals, the Warriors are trying to bring back their entire core. It looks like one of the key members, Andre Iguodala, might look elsewhere.

The Golden State Warriors are heading into an important offseason, after winning the NBA Championship in 2017. Core members of the Warriors’ roster are set to be free agents, including Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. Another key piece that’s a free agent is Andre Iguodala.

According to reports from Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania, Iguodala might test the free-agent market this summer. After winning the Finals’ MVP in 2015 and performing really well this past season, the 33-year old may receive an annual contract that could be worth up to $20 million.

Per Charania, the teams that are expected to be interested in the veteran small forward are the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Atlanta Hawks. Many are interested to add a two-way player, who can facilitate the offense off the bench and also play lock-down defense.

Iguodala has been a huge part of the current Warriors’ dynasty. In 2015, Iggy changed the series when he was inserted into the starting lineup to slow down LeBron James, which went on to create the Death Lineup. In 2017, Iguodala relieved the pressure on Kevin Durant on the defensive end and came through in Game 5 with 20 points, four rebounds and three assists.

For Iguodala to leave the Warriors, he is likely to leave for a playoff contender that will be able to match his financial demands. It was earlier reported that Durant would take less than a maximum contract to allow for the signing of Iguodala, but it might not be enough.

With NBA Free Agency set to begin July 1, let’s see if the Golden State Warriors are able to meet the financial requests of Iguodala or if the 2015 Finals’ MVP bounces to another team.
