Ike Anigbogu

Center, UCLA

The Lakers got their prize in Lonzo Ball at the top of the draft. Here, at the end of the first round, they have an opportunity to take a low-risk swing on a project. Anigbogu missed some games as a freshman and didn’t play a ton of minutes even when he was healthy. However, he has an exciting physical profile with the size to bang with traditional centers and the quickness to fit in a modern, switchy, motion-based scheme.

The Lakers don’t need anything from Anigbogu next season, with Ivica Zubac already looking like their center of the future. Still, Anigbogu has immediate value as an energy player at the end of the bench and someone who could be brought along slowly as his skills develop.
