Warren Sapp was one of the better defensive lineman the NFL has ever seen, but he is currently feeling the effects of his illustrious career.

During his time in the NFL, Warren Sapp established himself as one of the best defensive lineman in the game. Now, the 44-year old Hall of Famer is struggling to remember things, and he plans to donate his brain to the Concussion Legacy Foundation upon his death. Sapp was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame back in 2013, and is just another in the long list of former players who has struggled with head issues since leaving the game.

Justin Gilbert was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 8 overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, which is a draft the organization would like to forget. On Tuesday, Gilbert was suspended by the NFL for one year after violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. The former standout cornerback at Oklahoma State played two years with the Browns before being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016. The suspension may mean the end of Gilbert’s short, and disappointing NFL career.

Eric Decker has found a new home with the Tennessee Titans, and he must be very happy that the New York Jets released him earlier this month. Decker goes from a team that will likely have one of the worst records in the NFL, to a team on the brink of the playoffs, and Decker feels like he may be the missing piece of the puzzle. The wide receiver told the Titans’ official website that the marriage is a “perfect storm,” and he will be paid handsomely for his services, as his deal could earn him up to $5.35 million if he reaches his incentives.

Jarvis Landry is one of the better young wide receivers in the NFL, and will likely be in for a big payday at the end of his current contract. The Miami Dolphins need to do everything they can to hang on to Landry, though he has set a deadline for reaching an extension this offseason. Landry is giving the Dolphins until the beginning of the season to get a deal done, at which time he will not revisit the discussion until after the Dolphins’ season is over.

Next: Lions’ defensive tackle suspended for six games

Finally, it appears a former New York Giants great still cannot stay out of trouble. Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor was sentenced to one-year probation for a DUI that occurred on September 2, 2016. In addition to the probation, Taylor will also lose his driver’s license for nine months, and will have to have an interlock device in his car for the next six. Taylor has struggled with the law for most of his adult life, though he is still one of the more beloved Giants of all-time.
