A potential top 15 NBA Draft pick claims Phil Jackson was dozing off during his Knicks workout.

Phil Jackson falling asleep on the job? Yes, the dysfunction in New York continues as almost anything is believable when it comes to the Knicks at this point. A potential top 15 NBA Draft pick claims Jackson was falling in and out of sleep when the anonymous prospect went to visit the Knicks. The Knicks have been the epitome of utter chaos this offseason.

Jay Williams of ESPN had the report on Phil Jackson’s sleep habits on Bob Ley’s show:

It’s unclear who the Knicks may be targeting with the No. 8 pick. New York has a clear need at point guard but it’s almost impossible to project what Phil Jackson is thinking about at this juncture. There is a report the Knicks are enamored with Arizona big man Lauri Markkanen. The fit, however, is a curious one. The Markkanen selection at eight could have bigger implications for the Knicks star player, Kristaps Porzingis.

Luke Kennard, Donovan Mitchell, Malik Monk, Frank Ntilikina, Dennis Smith and Markkananen have all been tied to the Knicks. With the latest report on Phil Jackson, I’m not sure why any player would be excited to go play in New York. Even Frank Ntilikina came out and said he prefers to play for the Mavericks over the Knicks.

With the bad blood between Porzingis and the Knicks, maybe Jackson is really entertaining the possibility of a trade. Jackson would have to be insane to deal a young star like Porzingis but it seems anything is possible with the Knicks. Jackson appears to be interested in Josh Jackson if Porzingis were to be dealt in a trade. Maybe it’s just time to fire Jackson before things continue to get worse (if that’s possible).
