As if it wasn’t crazy enough to put up a shoe for $495 dollars before the NBA Draft, the Big Baller Brand put out a Lakers colorway during the draft.

Lonzo Ball, his dad LaVar and the Big Baller Brand caught a lot of slack for releasing a signature shoe before the 19-year old UCLA product was even drafted in the league. Now that he’s in the NBA officially, they’ve already released a second version of the shoe.

The Big Baller Brand surely was ready for when Ball was taken by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick in the draft, as LaVar had already put on some Lakers-colored BBB gear immediately after the pick was announced. A little while later, things escalated even further.

Again, for the small price of $495, you could be the owner of some Lonzo Ball Z02s, this time with the Lakers colors on them. The shoe, entitled the Z02: SHO’TIME is on pre-sale now, and will apparently make its way to your doorstep in February if you order it, just a mere eight months away.

Just a quick reminder, you could buy about four pairs of signatures from LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving or plenty of other big names in the NBA for the price of one pair of Ball’s shoes.

Ball will surely wear these bad boys on the court before anyone gets to see them on their own feet, but they might not be too valuable by the time they make their way to the fans. A February delivery leaves four months for Ball to completely flop in the league, and fans may not be so happy with their investment if his play doesn’t match the price.

On the other hand, if Lonzo takes the Lakers to the postseason immediately like his dad LaVar guaranteed after the pick was made official, then it may be the perfect financial move.
