Celtics still undecided between Jayson Tatum and Josh Jackson with No. 3 Pick

The Boston Celtics hold the No. 3 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and are still unsure of what to do with it.
Which player will have the better NBA career, Josh Jackson or Jayson Tatum? That’s what the Celtics are trying to figure out. With the 76ers and Lakers locked into Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball, respectively, Boston is on the clock. Danny Ainge seems to be unwilling to tip his hand on what he’s going to do as of now.
Chad Ford of ESPN reported that Boston keeps ‘flip-flopping’ between Jackson and Tatum:
"“This pick seems to come down to Tatum versus Josh Jackson. The Celtics love them both, and one source in Boston said they’ve been going back and forth on the two about every six hours.”"
Tatum could be in the lead as of now considering he worked out for the Celtics. Jackson didn’t work out for the Celtics but the team has his medical information. While Boston likely won’t make its decision based on a workout, Tatum could have left a lasting impression that ends up making the difference.
Jackson is known for being a gritty defensive stopper as a high-flying wing. Jackson, 20, has an extremely high ceiling and appears to be a Celtics kind of guy as they made a similar pick with Jaylen Brown in 2016. Tatum has the scoring prowess as a superior shooter but isn’t nearly as athletic as Jackson is. Boston fans have compared Tatum to Paul Pierce.

The Celtics have a tough call to make with the pick, and might yet trade it away. With Kristaps Porzingis on the market, Boston has the assets to make a deal. Knicks President Phil Jackson appears to be enamored with the idea of receiving Josh Jackson in a potential trade.
