The Los Angeles Lakers hold the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft tonight and are still undecided on which player to take between Lonzo Ball and De’Aaron Fox.

The Los Angeles Lakers have the No. 2 draft pick in tonight’s NBA Draft and are still undecided on which player they want. General Manager Rob Pelinka and President of Basketball Operations Magic Johnson are mulling their options. After the trade of D’Angelo Russell, many assumed it would be Lonzo Ball, because the Lakers needed a point guard and they held two workouts with the UCLA star.

Now, it may not be so safe that Ball is going to be a Laker. According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Lakers are still undecided on whether or not they’re choosing Lonzo Ball tonight. They are also debating Kentucky point guard De’Aaron Fox for the draft pick.

I still think more than likely that the Lakers end up choosing their hometown star in Lonzo Ball, but they’re definitely taking their time in making this selection. It really goes to show the level of effort that Johnson and Pelinka are putting into this rebuild. They’re carefully considering all of the different possibilities to help the Los Angeles Lakers.

That’s exactly what Kyler went on to add about the whole situation as well.

The Lakers have a serious decision to make pretty quickly, as the NBA Draft is only a few hours away. Fox has gotten the best of Lonzo both times they played each other, especially in the NCAA Tournament game, when the Kentucky star dropped 39 points on Ball.
