TCU and Louisville will look to avoid going home when they meet in an elimination game in the 2017 College World Series on Thursday night.

The TCU Horned Frogs have managed to avoid elimination once already in the 2017 College World Series. On Thursday night, TCU will have to go at it for a second try when they take on the Louisville Cardinals in Omaha.

After falling to Florida with almost no run support in the first loss, TCU’s pitching was superb and they were able to scratch across four runs. Now, they’ll face a Louisville squad that is coming off of their first loss.

Like TCU, the Cardinals also fell to the mighty Gators. They didn’t get much run support and their pitching didn’t hold up enough to give them much of a shot if any against a juggernaut the quality of Florida.

With the two losses by both teams to Florida sounding almost identical, it should create for the intriguing battle between the two sides on Thursday. One side is going to advance and once again get the Gators.

Both teams would love another crack at Florida and this is going to be a chance at redemption for both. The beauty of the College World Series is two teams in the same precarious position meeting up against the other. Who will come out on top in Omaha?
