The Oregon State Beavers will look to advance to the College World Series Finals when they play the LSU Tigers on Friday in Omaha.

The Oregon State Beavers are in the perfect position to advance to the College World Series Finals. Needing just a win on Friday, the Beavers are a step away from making it to the finals and attempting to bring home a national championship.

They’ll once again be facing the LSU Tigers. They ran through the Tigers 13-1 when they met last and the Beavers have to feel great about their chances of winning. The Tigers do not have the same fortunes as Oregon State.

If LSU is somehow able to pull the upset on Friday, then they would have to beat them again on Saturday. For a team that has lost only four times all season, it’s hard to imagine how anyone is going to beat them in two straight days.

Still, the Tigers are one of the best teams in the nation and it’s hard to blowout a great team twice. They showed a ton of determination in their elimination game win over the Florida State Seminoles.

If anything, a closer game would add some real drama and create for a little intensity. The Beaver are on a collision course for the finals, but the Tigers have one last chance to maybe put the brakes on their dreams.
