The Oregon State Beavers and LSU Tigers will battle it out a third time for a spot in the 2017 College World Series Finals on Saturday afternoon.

In what has seemed like an eternity, the Oregon State Beavers finally fell on Friday. After the LSU Tigers had been previously dismantled by them, the SEC power came back and beat them to force another game on Saturday.

If the Tigers are able to do the unthinkable yet again, they will be going to the College World Series Finals. It took everything they had to beat the Beavers, but the pitching was fantastic and gave them the chance to compete.

LSU held Oregon State to just one run on the day and they were able to score a few to force another game on Saturday. It was a far cry from their previous battle, where the Beavers scored 13 runs and ran away with it.

The good news for the Tigers is they now have the confidence knowing they can beat Oregon State. It will create for some interesting adversity with the Beavers. How will they react knowing they are one more loss away from being eliminated?

A spot to compete in the finals is everything to both of these teams. The winning team will face the winner of the TCU Horned Frogs and the Florida Gators in the finals beginning on Monday in Omaha.
