Draymond Green has been a fashion icon over the last month, and it continued when he rocked a crazy suit-shorts combo at the NBA Awards.

Draymond Green has had a pretty good month if you ask him, so he can afford to take it easy when it comes to dressing up for the NBA Awards on Monday night.

The Golden State Warriors forward won his second NBA Finals in front of a hometown crowd at the beginning of the month, and celebrated the only way he could: by trolling his opponents.

After defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games, the Warriors had their championship parade, and Green began his strong fashion month by rocking a shirt with the word “Quickie” on it, taking a jab at the Cavaliers and their Quicken Loans Arena.

To end the month, Green decided to bust out another unique fashion trend. At the NBA Awards, Green took the red carpet by storm in a bright blue suit jacket, a bow-tie and … shorts?

Green may have studied some Shaquille O’Neal film, as the former NBA legend donned the same sort of look for TNT’s coverage of the NBA playoffs in May. Maybe we could have a “Like Mike” situation on our hands, and Green suddenly turns into a dominant force for the Warriors like Shaq was for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The NBA Awards aren’t exactly the biggest awards show in the world, so Green can afford to take a little break when it comes to dressing up for the event. It is the summer and it’s getting warmer in New York, so comfort should always be more important than style in the heat.

The only thing that would’ve been better is if we could’ve seen Green just rock the “Quickie” shirt again on the red carpet, and skip the whole suit look altogether.
