The LSU Tigers and Florida Gators will meet in Game 1 of the 2017 College World Series Finals on Monday night.

It’s an SEC showdown for the richest prize in college baseball. On Monday night, the Florida Gators and LSU Tigers will face off in Game 1 of the College World Series Finals. Both had to play an extra game to get there.

The Tigers are coming into the finals after doing the unthinkable. After getting throttled by Oregon State once, they went through the loser’s bracket and then defeated the Beavers two straight times to advance to the finals in Omaha.

The Gators survived a scare from a good TCU team and were able to clinch their spot in after the Tigers clinched theirs. Now, the two SEC foes will go at it in hopes of bringing back a national championship to their program.
