Samoa Joe sent a serious message to the Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, before their match at Great Balls of Fire, as he almost put the champ to sleep.

Samoa Joe has been on an absolute tear since he earned his number one contender spot for the Universal title against Brock Lesnar, and he got the chance to send a quick message to the champ on RAW on Monday night.

After Paul Heyman delivered a promo and introduced Lesnar, the champion got attacked from behind by Joe and was put into the Coquina Clutch, much like his advocate Heyman was just a few weeks ago.

Lesnar began to fade but eventually fought back against Joe, driving him into the screens behind them on the entrance ramp. Joe eventually got back in control, locking Lesnar back in the Coquina Clutch once more, almost putting the champ to sleep before members of the locker room separated the two.

“I did this to you. I run this,” Joe said as members of the WWE locker room dragged him away from Lesnar and back to the backstage area.

Joe warned Heyman that it was coming during Heyman’s backstage interview earlier in the show, and it still wasn’t enough for Lesnar to be ready for the ambush. It’s evident that Joe isn’t afraid of Lesnar or what could happen in a few weeks in their match, and that’s made the build-up for this match amazing.

The move seems to be running rampant on the WWE roster, as Joe has locked it in on Reigns, Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman and now Lesnar over the last month on RAW. The two will battle at Great Balls of Fire in a few weeks, but Joe is doing an incredible job at making fans want to see this match instantly.
