Carmella was able to climb the ladder and grab the Money in the Bank briefcase on Tuesday night, although she had a little help once again.

For the second night in a row, the women were featured in a WWE television main event, as we had the re-do of the SmackDown Women’s Money in the Bank match. As you’ll remember from just last week, Carmella, the original winner, was stripped of the briefcase after James Ellsworth was the one who climbed the ladder and dropped it down to her, Didn’t make much sense at the time with Money in the Bank being No Disqualification to begin with, but hey, what’s logic anyway?

Well, really the only thing different this time around was the fact that Carmella was able to grab the case herself — even though Ellsworth was able to give her some assistance once again.

Despite being banned from the building earlier in the night, the man with no chin would return through the crowd to try and pull what he did the last time. He was thwarted, however, by Becky Lynch, but still in the end Carmella is once again Ms. Money in the Bank.

So now, most will be happy to see that a woman was able to pull down the first-ever women’s briefcase, which was just what should have happened last weekend in St. Louis in the first place. Some still might not be happy with the decision, but this is the route WWE decided to go, so we just have to accept that.

Earlier in the night, Naomi retained the SmackDown Women’s Championship when she squashed Lana in their rematch from Money in the Bank. Seriously, it was a legit squash, leading you to think WWE is re-thinking the whole Lana wrestling in the ring deal.

With that being the outcome of that match, we’ll get probably some good segments of Carmella letting Naomi know that she’s one cash-in away from becoming the champion. This has the potential to be quite entertaining.
