What did the doctor prescribe for the Phoenix Suns? Find defensive-minded wings, who can help Devin Booker and Brandon Knight out. Well if the Suns don’t land Iguodala, they’re going to need someone else to fill those defensive, size-15, shoes. You should note that I also considered Tony Allen and Andre Roberson, but their offensive game is so lacking that I couldn’t put them over Sefolosha.

The Hawks’ best perimeter defender lost his starting role this past season and is likely on his way out during free agency. With the Suns in desperate need of wing defenders, in comes Thabo Sefolosha. Although he’s greatly known for what he can bring to the defensive end of the floor, don’t sleep on his offensive game as well.

Sefolosha, 32, averaged 7.2 points per game on 44 percent shooting from the field and 34 percent from 3-point range. True, those numbers don’t scream offensive star, but it’s far better than what Tony Allen and Andre Roberson bring to the table.

This is the type of player that the Phoenix Suns need to acquire in free agency in order to improve their team. Sefolosha might not give you the play-making abilities that Andre Iguodala might, but he’s a solid defender.
