With the NBA Free Agency period rapidly approaching, here’s a look at the five best power forwards available.

We are less than a week away from the excitement that the NBA free agency period brings. Now that the draft is over, teams will continue to look for ways to add talent to their rosters via the open market.

The power forward position has drastically changed over the years, and it has changed the way we look at the game as well. These days, power forwards are able to run the floor and shoot from the outside like guards. The position features a plethora of exceptional players, including multiple time All-Stars hitting the open market this summer.

It’s anyone’s guess where the top players available at this position will end up, but there’s no denying their inevitable impact on the teams they decide to bring their talents to.

Here are the five best power forwards available in free agency this offseason.

5. Zach Randolph

Although he is now 35 years-old, Zach Randolph has continued to find ways to produce on the hardwood. He is coming off a season in which he averaged 14.1 points, and 8.2 rebounds per game for the Grizzlies.

What’s more impressive is he appeared in 73 games, and didn’t seem to show any ill effects down the stretch. He was also a key contributor for the Grizzlies squad in the post season, as he averaged 13.2 points, and even started in four games. Randolph is still as passionate as ever about the game, and still has usefulness left in the tank.

His rebounding ability, post-scoring, and veteran presence would surely be a boon to whichever team he ends up with this summer. At this point though, Randolph could be ring chasing and could very well end up on a contending team for his shot at glory.
