Anthony Davis on Snapchat (antdavis23)

One of the tougher parts of playing in a small market is that there isn’t a great chance for fans to really get to know players. It makes it even harder when that small market team isn’t very good for a few years. And because of the way shoe sales go, it makes it even even harder when that player is a big man. So despite being one of the best players in the entire league for two or three years now, Anthony Davis is a relative unknown to a lot of people.

Luckily his Snapchat is fixing that one Snap at a time.

As it turns out Davis has quite the personality, especially when he is picking on his friends and teammates, which he is willing to do on Snapchat a fair amount.

The other thing that helps Davis’ Snapchat game is the team that he plays for. The Pelicans are a team that is willing to do some odd promotions. A few years ago there was a great video of Davis and then teammate Ryan Anderson holding penguins to promote a fundraiser at an aquarium. Considering how important Davis is to the Pelicans, he is in quite a few of the promos that they do. That means plenty of time “backstage” and off-camera for Davis to mess around and drop some Snaps. And now that DeMarcus Cousins is a member of the team, and maybe the only other recognizable faces on the roster if Jrue Holiday leaves, that could mean plenty of Davis/Cousins Snaps. Which should be a blast.
