It only felt right to put a player who excels in poking fun of himself after the person on this list who excels at poking fun at someone else. Dirk Nowitzki is excellent at Twitter and that skill comes mostly from one thing — his ability to perfectly craft and time jokes about himself.
The best part about Dirk making the jokes is that he is able to perfectly nail them on just about any subject. There is his running speed on the base paths (or just about anywhere):

Now before we get into the conversation of Dirk being a one-trick pony let’s take a second and appreciate how good he is at self-deprecation. It is really hard to make a joke about yourself and make it funny and not feel desperate. It takes a certain amount of swagger and confidence in your actual abilities, comedic timing and skill and a strong affection from those who must respond to the joke.
Luckily, Nowitzki has it all. With more and more time needed to recover that means Nowitzki has more and more time to crack jokes. Based on everything we have ever seen they are probably going to be about him. And hilarious. And absolutely worth your follow.
Oh and for those that think Dirk is a one trick pony, there are also quite a few soccer Tweets thrown in. Because Dirk is a well rounded man.
