The Toronto Argonauts go for their second win of the season when they host the B.C. Lions at BMO Field on Friday, June 30.

There was no bigger surprise in the opening week of the CFL season than the Toronto Argonauts. After finishing last a season ago, the Argos dominated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 32-15. The B.C. Lions opened the season with a 30-27 loss at home against the Edmonton Eskimos.

Toronto quarterback Ricky Ray had one of the best games in his 15-year career. Ray completed 78 percent of his passes for 506 yards. Those numbers could have been even higher if two receivers had not dropped passes in the end zone and a wide open Jeff Fuller fell down in the end zone. If Toronto can give Ray a clean pocket he could pick apart the Lions defense.

The Lions were disappointing in their season opener. Quarterback Jonathan Jennings was sacked five times and forced out of the pocket on many of his dropbacks. B.C. need their offensive line to step up they want to avoid starting 0-2. Defensively, the Lions need their pass defense to be significantly better. Edmonton quarterback Mike Reilly threw for 315 and two touchdowns. Receiver Brandon Zylstra got behind the Lions defense for a 76 yard gain to set up an easy game-winning field goal.
